I wanted to both thank you again, and give you a recommendation that you
can use for your website or prospective customers.
I needed help with the gearbox for my ww2 Jeep ( made 1942, to be
accurate), and had spoken to a few prospective rebuilders. None of them
were as helpful as yourself. You took time to listen and advise and were
happy to liaise with me in the supply of components.
You even managed to finish the job early, which was of enormous help in
keeping the project moving. You also kept to your quote, not deviating by
even one penny.
As someone who has been let down in the past by motor traders/mechanics, it
was so refreshing to meet an honest man who can be relied upon.
I will very happily recommend you to all my friends, and you may feel free

I would like to send you this email for use if you want on your website;
I found out about DJ Transmissions via the internet and before this I have not had dealing with them, I was very taken with the website and the information and reviews that I read as my daughters Suzuki Swift SZL had developed a noisy gearbox and I wanted someone to look after the repairs and that when DJ Transmissions came up through a website search. I am myself a Technician but work with motorcycles and I am very fussy when it comes down to having work done on any of our cars. So although when I found the DJ website I considered that it was some way from us as we live in Derbyshire which is 1.5 hours away and was a little guarded until I met Darren and he explained what he was going to do to sort the issues by overhauling the gearbox and replacing the bearings that had worn.
As soon as I got to meet Darren and see his workshop I was extremely impressed as it’s like a small hospital and very organized and clean and tidy, Darren even sorted me out with a loan car while our car was being worked on Top Man, and true to form as promised the Suzuki was stripped and rebuilt along with a new clutch and ready for us the very next day. When I drove the car home it was like a different car all the horrible gearbox noise was gone and it felt like new again and all the gears changes were very slick. This company certainly know what they are doing and I am so glad I found them as I found the company very professional and easy to deal with and unlike a lot of main dealers give extremely good value for money which is so important nowadays. If anyone is considering having transmission work done by Darren I would recommend them very highly as to get this sort of service it’s worth travelling a long way for, they not only look after the car but the needs of the customer. Thank you very much Darren for your efforts it was well worth it.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... my astra had a bearing blown out the side of the gearbox case and a lot of worry went through my mind of the price and repair found dj transmission on Internet phoned up had a good panic chat with the owner and he reassured me and put my mind at ease that it ain't that bad took car in and shown me what he does and best advice to take next.

When my wife's Mk5 Golf stated to really have issues with the clutch (ignored the smaller signs hoping they would not get worse!) I knew it was going to be costly. Half the concern about getting a job like this done is that you know a dealership is going to be astronomical but what's the alternative ? After much research I chose DJ Transmissions. From my first phone call I was pleasantly surprised. No sales patter..no restrictive times..just bring it down it when suits you. So 20 minutes later the car was being listened to and I had an straight up quote with guaranteed no add on prices unless there was something majorly wrong. The following wed the DMF and clutch were replaced for almost £200 cheaper than the vw specialist. Car drives like knew and I would highly recommend the services of DJ Transmissions.

Thank you for the service you gave me, when I phoned you with an explanation of my gearbox fault you gave me an estimated cost and the final bill was right on target. Having spent 14 years as a vehicle technician, it was truly refreshing to come across your honesty coupled with value for money, in such a specialist service. You took my vehicle, removed, stripped, rebuilt the gearbox, installed a new clutch, slave cylinder and all this achieved far quicker and for less than I was expecting. On collection you gave me even more confidence in you work by showing me the faulty parts and discussing the job with me, extremely impressed... keep it up DJ

Hi Daren,
Just thought I’d send you this email for your website.
I called DJ Transmissions after a family member recommended them and had said that I should speak to Daren regarding a fault gearbox on my Ford Ranger. Daren said he would pop over and have a look, he turned up at the time he said he would and tried the gearbox and after 5 minutes turned off the car and we had a lengthy discussion about what he thought was wrong. Daren left me with labour costs and some rough costs on parts but obviously until the gearbox was stripped down he couldn’t be accurate on diagnosis.
I had spoken to several other gearbox repair companies who had quoted astronomical prices in comparison to what I had been quoted by DJ Transmissions. Anyway I decided to have the gearbox removed and stripped so I knew where I stood with costs, so Daren recovered my vehicle on a Saturday morning, by Monday afternoon Daren called me with his findings and costs for repair. He also advised that the clutch needed changing and there would be no additional labour for fitting a full clutch that I supplied if I wished. By the Thursday DJ Transmissions called me and said the vehicle was ready, I called round that evening and collected the car.
I noticed that the 4 wheel drive light was not coming on when I selected it so I called Daren on the Friday, he said he knew what he had done and came out at 6pm to my house rolled under the car changed two wiring plugs around, hey presto job done.
I would highly recommend Daren and his business DJ Transmissions for being honest, professional and saving you money. In my case I saved over £200 and I got a new clutch fitted.
